More than one person has suggested to me that the whole story is a dream. Well, it might be. I mean, that is a fair interpretation. I like stories that can be interpreted on different levels, stories that have different layers. Check the Carys page in the sidebar for another interpretation of the story as a rite of passage parable, a glimpse into the mysterious and, to some, frightening passage where we leave childhood behind.
